About Us

The Trigg County Kentucky Firefighters Association is an all volunteer organization. It was originally formed in 2000 as a Fire Chiefs Association. In 2010 the name was changed to Firefighters Association. Membership includes all firefighters from the eight (8) County Fire Departments plus the City of Cadiz Fire Department. In addition to Cadiz, the other fire departments include Cerulean, Caledonia, East Golden Pond, Linton, Montgomery, Roaring Springs, South Road and Trigg/Lyon.

The Fire Fighters Association is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and seven other board members. The Trigg County Firefighters Association meets quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September and December. Meetings start at 7:00 pm and are held at a different fire department each time. Other special meetings may be called by the President as necessary.

The Trigg County Firefighters Association was formed to unite all Trigg County fire departments to familiarize each department with the other departments operations, apparatus and equipment to improve mutual aid responses and operations. All Trigg County fire departments are dispatched from the central communications center located in the basement of the sheriffs office. All firefighters receive the calls via radio or pager.

A volunteer fire department means a significant reduction in property taxes. A fire department is nothing without people. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, please contact any firefighter for information or use the <Contact Us> feature on this web site.

Quarterly Meetings

Regular meetings of the Association will be held quarterly on the first Thursday of March, June, September and December at 7:00 pm (this is subject to change by the authority of the President of the Association, or by the Vice-President of the Association if he/she is acting in the absence of the President). Meetings will be held at a different fire department each time. All Departments will be notified in advance of the location of these meetings and any special meetings called. All members are urged to attend these meetings.
